Hawks Hill Ranch NAMED “A RISING STAR”

We are excited to share a new feature story on Hawks Hill Ranch written by longtime wine writer and critic Norm Roby, detailing the journey of our winery under Owner-Vintner Kit Kuyper.

The story is titled “From Finance to Farm: Making a Big Splash in Today’s Wine World.” Roby sets the piece up by remarking,: “Like most writers, I’m always searching for the next rising star or the up-and-coming winery. One winery caught my attention recently because it is such an anomaly, an outlier not following any script or well-worn path.”

From there, he delves into the wines, terroir and history of Hawks Hill Ranch and includes a Q&A with Kit. He concludes the story with a keen observation and a quote from Kit that he calls “unusual and unexpected”—”Having a full-time crew of immense character that lives on the property and are fully vested makes the biggest difference in farming. The same folks touch every vine from pruning to harvest every year giving us the highest level of detail and quality we are looking for.”
